Today’s Fall Festival in downtown Fairfax also kicks off the annual Fall for the Book Festival, which will host events all day at Old Town Hall.
The line-up at Old Town Hall includes events for kids of all ages.
Downstairs for the wee ones:
- 11:00 AM – Make Your Own Sweet Treats with author Pat Tanumihardja.
- NOON – The Science of Wind with author Debra Shumaker.
- 1:00 PM – Show & Toon: Making Comics with authors John Gallagher and Jamar Nicholas.
Upstairs for the less wee of us:
- 11:00 AM –Fighting for Home featuring authors Marina Budhos and Joe Milan, Jr.
- 12:30 PM – Murder in the Jazz Age featuring authors Katharine Schellman and Jenny Adams.
- 2:00 PM – Twisted Tales featuring authors Alisa Alering and Keith Donohue.
- 3:30 PM – Devilish Obsession featuring authors Ananda Lima and Constance Sayers.
So come listen to live music, chow down on some meat on a stick, support local artists and artisans and bakers and restaurants, chill in a Biergarten with your buds.
