Free Parking in Fairfax

Today’s the day for our next Fox City Lit reading at Old Firestation #3.

If you’re driving in to downtown, you can park for free within a few blocks of the venue.

Free parking is available at the following locations:

  • Old Town Plaza, 3955 Chain Bridge Road (accessible from Route 123 or from University Drive)
  • Old Town Village (a smaller lot beside Old Firestation #3)
  • Sager Avenue parking lot (on the corner of Sager Avenue and University Drive)
  • East Street parking lot ( on the corner of Main Street and East Street)
  • City of Fairfax Regional Library, 10360 North Street (accessible from University Drive or from Blenheim Boulevard)
  • Bank of America, 10440 Main Street (accessible from Route 236 or North Street)

Coming in on Public Transit?

  • From the Vienna Metro: The Fairfax CUE Buses are free for all passengers. Both the Gold CUE lines and the Green CUE lines connect the Vienna Metro Station with downtown Fairfax. 
  • For GMU Students: Mason students can ride the Mason shuttle for free, with stops at the Vienna Metro, Fairfax Circle, the Commerce building, and the GMU Fairfax campus. The Commerce stop is in downtown Fairfax City.
